Electrolux ice maker repair
This maker sells no standalone ice maker today, so what we repair is the module inside the French-door cabinets and the 15-inch under-counter unit from the built-in range that preceded the current line. Both are proper appliances with parts behind them. The commonest calls are no ice at all, ice that arrives hollow or small, and a bin that has bonded into one mass after a week away — which in a region with summer outages is a seasonal rather than an occasional problem.

01
Separate no ice from bad ice
No ice at all points at the module, its thermostat or its supply. Hollow, small or slow ice points upstream at a filter, a valve or a restricted line.
-
02
Check the fill before the mechanism
The mold is filled on a timed valve opening. Restricted supply gives a short fill and a harvest on schedule regardless, which is exactly what a hollow cube is.
-
03
Look at the bin and the auger together
Ice that has part-thawed and refrozen around the auger is the cause behind most DI SP codes, and forcing the paddle against it is how augers are bent.

In-cabinet ice · the 15-inch unit Electrolux ice maker repair in Miami
This make currently sells no standalone ice maker at all — zero cabinets in the live catalog. So this page is about the two ice makers we actually attend on this badge: the module inside the French-door cabinets, and the 15-inch under-counter unit from the earlier built-in line, which is still in plenty of South Florida bars and butler's pantries. Both are worth writing about honestly rather than implying a product line that has been discontinued. Ice is also the one part of a refrigerator that this make gives its own error code — DI SP, for a jam in the chute — and that code is the start of most of these calls.
- No standalone ice maker in the current line — this page is about what is installed
- The in-cabinet module and the older 15-inch under-counter unit
- DI SP is the maker's own code for a jam, and it is where most calls begin

Counter-depth French door · 33-inch columns Electrolux refrigerator repair in Miami
Six cabinets in the whole current line, and every French door among them is counter-depth — three of them, at 21 and 23 cubic feet. There is no standard-depth box here, no side-by-side and no top-freezer; the deep end of this line is a pair of 33-inch columns, one refrigerator and one freezer, sold with trim kits so they read as cabinetry. That is a refrigerator somebody drew into a plan, and it changes the work: the cabinet is tight in its surround, the water line runs where the joiner left it, and getting the unit out is half the visit before anything is diagnosed.
- Six cabinets total — three counter-depth French doors and a 33-inch column pair
- Counter-depth means a tight surround: access is part of every job here
- TasteLock Plus crispers and the TempAdapt drawer are the parts people call about

About Electrolux ice maker repair
There is no standalone ice maker in the current line
Saying so plainly is more useful than implying a product that was discontinued. What is installed across this region on this badge is the ice module inside the French-door cabinets and the 15-inch under-counter unit from the earlier built-in range, and both are proper appliances with parts still behind them. The older unit is frequently worth repairing precisely because the current catalog offers nothing to replace it with like for like.

Questions about Electrolux ice maker repair
Half my ice complaints started after a trip away.
That is the commonest pattern here. Cubes part-thaw and refreeze into one mass around the auger, the bin reads full, and the module stops. Empty and thaw the bin before assuming anything has failed.
How long should it take to fill a bin?
Most of a day from empty. These make a batch every couple of hours, and households that have just noticed the ice is gone usually have not waited long enough to judge.
