Bearings on a front loader are a long job, and on an older or a compact machine the cost lands close enough to a replacement that doing it is usually the wrong call. On a 700 Series machine in a building laundry it is usually right. Movement at the drum front means the bearing has gone, and the seal behind it usually went first.

Price it against the machine, honestly

This is the repair where the arithmetic matters most, and a company that does not put it in front of you is a company selling a job.

### How do I know it is the bearing?

A roar on spin that rises with the drum speed, and movement at the front of the drum when you push and pull it. A noise that does not change with speed is something else, and cheaper.

### There is rust-colored water in the drum.

Then the seal went before the bearing did, and the bearing has been running wet for a while. That usually settles the repair-or-replace question on its own.
