# Electrolux building laundry service

### Duty cycle, not age, decides what fails

A front-load washer in a family home runs perhaps six cycles a week. The same machine in an eight-unit building runs forty, and in a rental that turns over every three days it runs through changeover continuously. Nothing is wrong with it; it is reaching in eighteen months the wear a household would reach in ten years. Pumps go first, then door locks, then bearings — and a building that knows that can keep one of each on a shelf.

What this involves

Domestic machines on commercial duty — not Electrolux Professional equipment

Duty cycle rather than age decides what fails in these rooms

Pumps, door locks and bearings go first, in that order

Establish the duty cycle before the symptom

How many machines, how many cycles a day, and whether the room is conditioned. Those three change the diagnosis more than the complaint does.

Stock the part that goes first

In a building laundry it is the drain pump, and a shelf with one on it converts a three-day outage into an afternoon.

Look at the room, not only the machine

A laundry room at 90 degrees with no air movement is a different environment from an apartment closet, and the machines in it fail accordingly.

### Are you Electrolux Professional?

No, and we would not claim to be. That is a separate business with its own dealer network. We work on this badge's domestic machines, and in this region a great many of them are installed in buildings.

### Can several buildings go on one arrangement?

Yes, and it usually works out better than individual call-outs — we get to know which machines are in which rooms and what they need. Ask rather than booking each visit cold.
